Fefu and Her Friends

Loyola University Maryland 2026 Spotlight Players Show

Each year as students come back from winter break, the Loyola University Maryland Spotlight Players present a student-directed play that donates its ticket sales to a nonprofit of the director’s choosing. This year, student director Alexis Piasecki chose to direct the play Fefu and Her Friends by María Irene Fornés. This play tackles topics of female friendship, queerness, PTSD, and more through this tale of seven women who meet to plan for a fundraiser. I was asked to design this Art Nouveau-inspired poster, taking references from 1930s fashion and design elements while weaving in some mysterious elements and Easter eggs like eyes and bunnies that hint to major plot points to come. This design will be used for the promotional poster, as well as the playbills that I will be co-designing.
