A World Without

Mixed media photo collage, 2026

These collages started with a simple question: What would a world without male objectification look like? I wanted to create something playful and imaginative, creating a fantastical dream world where women could frolic and play in the sun together without the constant threat of male objectification. The women’s sexualities and nude bodies themselves fade into the background as the viewer is invited to come and romp in the sand instead of placing these women under observation. I chose to place these women out in nature because of the inherent connection between womanhood and Mother Earth herself. Being nude in a powerfully beautiful place like the beach allows women to be in touch with their inner womanhood and the power that comes with it - they are allowed to choose how they want to express themselves and can live freely away from men’s eyes. The images are hand-cut and colored to add another touch of whimsy, paying homage to traditional “women’s crafts” that are so often looked down upon by men.
